How do hardiness zones impact the growing season?
Hardiness zones impact the growing season by determining the range of temperatures a region experiences, which directly influences plant survival, growth, and blooming periods. In Oregon, zones range from 5a to 10a, with colder zones (5a to 6b) experiencing shorter growing seasons due to lower minimum temperatures, while warmer zones (7a to 10a) enjoy longer growing seasons with milder winters.
